The new residence of the European University of the Atlantic, which will be fully equipped and operational for the start of the 2017-2018 academic course, is located in the Scientific and Technological Park of Cantabria, just two hundred meters away from the campus, five hundred meters from a shopping mall and very well connected with downtown Santander. A bus line with a stop in the same street connects all these points fast and effectively, since the line frequency is high.
Accommodation's Characteristics
The residence counts with avant-garde facilities, which are comfortable, functional and designed with criteria for energy efficiency to meet the accommodation needs of professors, researchers and students.
Apartments
The residence has 36 shared apartments of 115 m2 with four single rooms. This type of accommodation’s characteristics:
- Open concept kitchen equipped with a table, chairs, fridge, an electric cooktop and a microwave.
- A shared living-dining room equipped with a couch, a table, chairs and a TV.
- Bedrooms have a single bed and private bathroom, a wardrobe, a desk, shelving, a table lamp and a chair.
Studios
The residence also offers 57 shared studios, between 28 and 45 m2, with a maximum capacity of two people. They count with:
- Two single beds.
- A desk for each student, shelving, table lamp and chair for the study.
- Open concept kitchen equipped with a table, chairs, fridge, an electric cooktop and a microwave.
Some studios may be reserved for individual use. A total of 6 adapted apartments for disabled people will be available.
Included Services
All residents will have included the following services:
- Sheets and a towel for each student, which are changed once a week.
- Cleaning of the room on a monthly basis.
Other Services
A complete range of services will facilitate the university life of those staying at the residence of the European University of the Atlantic. The residents have:
- Library.
- A 130 m2 living room equipped with television for multiple uses.
- Study rooms, which allow students to concentrate on their work.
- A 335 m2 gym.
- Laundry and ironing room.
- Common outside space and a 400 m2green area.
- Parking (additional cost).
- Accommodation for students’ relatives (additional cost and subject to availability).
FUNIBER - Residence Scholarships
Through the agreement between the European University of the Atlantic and the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), national and foreign students wishing to stay in the residence may qualify for a grant of €1200 annually for 12 months.
